Google Warns Non-Mobile Website Owners For Poor Search Ranking - Ashish Kulkarni

Google Warns Non-Mobile Website Owners For Poor Search Ranking

Google always wants to bring the best for its searchers; it wishes to get the best result for whatever people search. It wants to make its search engine the best place to visit for its users, especially for those who use smartphones and tablets.

In the bid to make things easier for smartphone and tablet users, it has started displaying “mobile-friendly’ tag next to the sites when searched on the mobile phone. To get this label from Google, there are some criteria. The mobile-friendly site testing tool gives you an idea if your site meets the Google standards.

Google is not relying on website owners to test their sites. It has taken up the responsibility to give warnings to the webmasters who have tested on Webmaster tools but, have got the result of their site not being mobile-friendly. Just in case Google finds an issue with your site with regards to its visibility on mobile phones, Google is sure to send a warning to you through a mail, and your site may not rank in search results of a mobile phone.

This email will have the details about which site and page the issue has been detected, along with the instructions on how to solve the issue. Google also attaches documentation on how to make your CMS like WordPress site mobile friendly.

Google is sending indications that it wants to create an algorithm that is mobile friendly. It is giving a fair chance to the website owners about making changes to their website. So if there is anything that you want to change about your site; make it mobile friendly to be featured in the search options of Google search.

Make sure that you share this news with your friends and business colleagues. Spread the word and stay ahead in the digital world.
